Nepton Time Tracking integrates directly with Eltel’s ERP system and payroll software. Automated interpretations streamline administrative work, while advanced mobile functionality makes it easy to record working hours in mobile and field-based roles.
Eltel is a Northern European infrastructure services company that builds and maintains telecommunications, mobile, and power networks, and is also involved in wind power construction. Eltel employs approximately 6,200 people, of whom around 1,500 work in Finland. In 2019, the company reported revenue of EUR 1.1 billion, and its shares are listed on Nasdaq Stockholm.
Eltel previously used a cumbersome worktime management system, and support for its overtime interpretation software had also come to an end. The company began evaluating and selecting a new solution. The top priority was to ensure a reliable, real-time integration with the ERP system. Eltel’s ERP contains thousands of projects, and whenever a new project is created, it must immediately be available in the worktime management system as well.
Another important criterion was that the worktime management system had to be configurable to accommodate local agreements, different collective agreements, and varying working time arrangements. In addition, a large proportion of Eltel’s employees work in mobile and field-based roles, making it essential that the time tracking solution could be used on mobile devices.
According to Liisa Lindfors, Employee Relations Manager at Eltel, Nepton has met all of the company’s requirements exceptionally well. The integrations work seamlessly, time tracking is much easier and faster than before, and employees can record their working hours using different methods. Eltel has also worked together with Nepton to develop the service so that payroll administrators no longer need to make manual interpretations. Instead, Nepton can automatically process overtime and other working time interpretations.
